MICE

Removal, prevention and control services

Regal Pest Control technicians are fully licensed and trained to treat the mouse issue at your property. Mouse droppings can carry viruses and their constant gnawing and chewing can cause damage to your home and property.

By contacting our wildlife management professionals, you are doing more than simply trapping or baiting the mice on your property. A professional uses the correct baits and has the expertise to confirm that the job has been done. Our mouse services are backed by a 90-day re-treat guarantee1, so if the mice come back, we’ll come back at no additional charge1

The Regal Process

Our five step process to take on the mouse issue at your home or business

1

INSPECTION

Every quality service begins with a thorough initial inspection. Our technicians will look for entry-points and any environmental or construction issues that may allow access or that could contribute to the present or future mouse problems you’re having.

2

ASSESSMENT

After our initial inspection, our technicians will assess all reasonable solutions and will review the approach we’re recommending to resolve the issue. Often baits are the most effective solution to controlling the mouse population. However, our technicians will go over our recommended scope of service and will answer any questions you may have regarding the control methods and entry-points we’ve identified in handling your mouse issue.

3

BAITING OR TRAPPING

We offer trapping services for mice, however baiting is the preferred method due to the rate at which mice can breed. Bait blocks are placed in bait stations. Bait stations are boxes designed to contain the bait, with small openings on the sides of the station to allow the mice to access the stations and to feed on the baits inside of them.

4

FOLLOW UP SERVICES

For initial visits, follow-up services are usually scheduled to check and replace the baits. The follow-ups provide a good indication of the level of activity and can provide other insight into the progress we’re making in controlling the infestation. The number of recommended follow-up services depends on the infestation level, however we typically schedule one or two follow-up services for most issues. We do offer service plans for customers who’d like continuous monitoring and re-baiting for mice. Check out our service plans for more information!

5

EXCLUSION
(IF POSSIBLE)

Entry-points should be sealed up after we’ve completed all of the necessary follow-up services. Our technician will inform you of any entry-points we find on our initial visit and will let you know at that time if we can or cannot seal them up. We can seal most entry-points, however there are instances where a contractor would be better suited to repair certain areas, such as facias, ridge vents or similar issues.

Frequently Asked Questions

When mice find their way in a home or business, there are several potential entry-points. Stuck open dryer vent cover slats, deteriorated poly-foam around A/C lines and rotted wood on the bottom of bay windows and other overhangs are just a few potential entry-points.

Yes. All of our technicians are licensed through the State of Michigan. Many of our technicians carry several different categories on-top of their base certification.

Yes. All of our technicians are fully insured.

Typically, we find droppings and evidence of nesting, especially in the attic insulation. Common evidence in the kitchen are droppings in the drawers (droppings look like a grain of rice in size) and damage to packages of food. Mice will also gnaw to sharpen their teeth often. Small entry-points (the size of a dime) are prime areas mice will use to gain access.

1 Some mouse/rodent issues may require regular service intervals and indefinite, recurring services to control infestations or to assure mouse/rodent elimination. For this and other reasons, Regal Pest Control offers re-treat guarantees on a case-by-case basis. Although the majority of residential mouse/rodent control services we offer will qualify for the 90-day re-treat guarantee; commercial locations and select residential locations may have competing food source or sanitation issues which may not allow us to offer the re-treat guarantee coverage. Any re-treat guarantees, whether implied, suggested or otherwise, are ultimately ensured upon an on-site inspection and will be put in writing at the time of your initial service. When re-treat guarantees are offered, any failure to comply with reasonable cleanliness or other issues outlined (i.e. tampering with bait placements or equipment, ect.) may void your re-treat guarantee.
